Vancouver company behind 12 Days of Dog Advent Calendar blown away by generous donations from local dog owning community.
If there was ever any doubt, it's been settled - Vancouver dog owners are the best around.
The Vancouver company behind the 12 Days of Dog: Advent Calendar has been completely blown away by the incredible generosity shown by the local dog owning, and dog loving, community this holiday season.
PawSwap's limited edition advent calendar, designed exclusively for dogs, was released last month to encourage shopping locally while also giving dog owners a chance to help local dogs in need.
When purchasing an advent calendar for their pup, dog owners were given the option to donate a dog blanket or bed to the homeless community in Vancouver, and thanks to their generosity, over $1000 worth of donations were raised.

"We were so overwhelmed by the amount of donations given by the dog owning community. To see people donating multiple beds and blankets, or purchasing donations even after we were sold out of Advent Calendars, was really heartwarming to see - especially during this difficult time!" said Carly Geill, Marketing Manager at PawSwap.
"We can't thank everyone enough! There will be a lot of happy dogs this holiday season!"
Earlier this week, the PawSwap team personally handed out the dog beds and blankets, provided and partially donated by Anipet Animal Supplies, to members of the homeless community in Downtown Eastside.

All additional items not handed out on the day were donated to BC SCPA's Charlie’s Pet Food Bank, a community-based initiative created to improve the lives of pets living in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

Vancouver dogs count down to Christmas
As the 12 Days of Woofmas are in full swing, Vancouver dog owners have taken to social media with adorable videos of their pups opening their surprise gifts from local companies.
"We are delighted to see so many dog owners sharing their pups' reactions to their surprise gifts and bringing exposure to some of our favourite local pet businesses!," adds Geill.
"We really hope seeing how happy these pups are with these local products will encourage even more people to choose local when gifting this year."
