2 Aldergrove dogs win big at Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show

The B.C. German Shepherd siblings took home two awards at the prestigious dog show.

2 B.C dogs were awarded with top honours at this year's prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, which showcases the most impressive pups from across the world. The Aldergrove German Shepherd siblings, Arabella and Bella Jun, were both honoured at The 145th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show which took place from June 12 to June 13 in Tarrytown, New York. Despite facing tough competition from top dogs from across the globe, Arabella was named 'Best of Breed', and earned fourth place in the Herding Group category, while her sister Bella Jun took the title of 'Select Bitch.'

Around 2,500 dogs of 206 breeds took part in the world-renowned dog show this year, which was postponed from February to June and moved to an outdoor venue to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines.

The beautiful B.C dogs Arabella and Bella Jun, who are full siblings, were both bred by Woodside German Shepherds in Aldergrove, and Woodside's Sally Anderson is no stranger to breeding award winning dogs.

Originally from Vancouver, Anderson has been breeding dogs for show and family pets, for over 30 years, and according to its website, Woodside has produced more than 300 Champions in Canada and the United States to date.
