Fall is in the air and there’s pumpkins everywhere! Visit these 8 dog-friendly patches with your furry friends this October.

Let’s face it, nothing quite gets you in the autumnal spirit like heading to a pumpkin patch in your favourite fall sweater.


Whether you’re there for the pumpkin ice cream, festive displays, or purely for a Fall-themed insta-shoot, we’ve gathered the best dog-friendly pumpkin patches near Vancouver so that you can still experience joyous fall fun without your pup having to miss out.



Maan Farms has it all in the way of its annual Fall Festival, which serves up seasonal eats like pumpkin ice cream - in a pumpkin, no less - along with a corn maze, barnyard animal petting area and tractor rides for the little ones.


Even better, the pumpkin patch (which even features a pumpkin house!) is dog-friendly on specific days throughout October on 9th, 10th, 30th and 31st.


Tickets for the patch cost $4 with $2 deducted from your ticket price when you purchase a pumpkin.

The closest pumpkin patch to the city, Southlands Heritage Farm is nestled south of the hustle and bustle in Dunbar-Southlands. Pumpkins are pre-harvested so can be picked easily from the Old Apple Orchard where they have been scattered around for choosing.


Goats, sheep, chickens and horses are also on site, along with a campfire. Green-fingered gardeners are also welcome to pitch in with any work that needs doing at the farm too - just ask a farmer what they need help with!


Pups are also welcome to join their owners, as long as they remain on a leash at all times and owners are in control of their behaviour. Dogs aren’t allowed in the animal stalls and owners must pick up after their pets.


Admission to the patch is $8 which includes a pumpkin each - more pumpkins can be bought at the gate.

With 80 breeds of pumpkin and thousands of them to choose from, you’ll be spoilt for choice at Port Kells Nursery this fall. A cedar maze, face painting and play centre also make for a great day out with the kids.


The pumpkin patch is free to enter with social distancing in place. Pups are also welcome with their owners as long as they remain on a leash.

With pumpkins ranging from teeny Cinderella and sugar pumpkins - perfect for roasting - to super-sized 50lbs whoppers that are perfect for carving a spooky jack-o-lantern, there’s a pumpkin for everyone at this patch in Abbotsford. You can even pick up Insta-worthy blush pink, blue and white heirloom pumpkins!


An individual farm pass costs $14.95, with other options available for family tickets and season passes.


Dogs are only allowed in the sunflower patch, pumpkin patch, corn maze, and on the hayride. You can also bring pets to the picnic area at Taves Estate Cidery for a drink.

Claiming to have some of the biggest and best pumpkins around, this farm hosts hayrides to take guests down to the pumpkin patch to pick out their perfect fall pumpkin. Mini-pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks and hay bales are for sale at the farm stand along with winter veggies and cows and chickens await those who want to see some barnyard animals.


Pups are allowed on leash with their owners, who must make sure they pick up after their furry friends.

This family-friendly patch has served the community of Maple Ridge for more than 30 years and hopes to provide a sizable crop this year for visitors looking to get that perfect jack-o-lantern ready for Halloween.


Opening after Thanksgiving weekend, there is no charge to enter the farm to pick your perfect pumpkin or gourd.


Dogs are allowed with their owners as long as they remain on leash. The farm asks that owners make sure to pick up after their pooches.

The opportunities for your perfect fall picture are endless at this Richmond Pumpkin Patch, which guarantees fun for the whole family - including your furry bff.


This year's event allows guests to choose between two options for their pumpkin experience - the walk-in pumpkin promenade or a ride-out journey on a tractor-drawn wagon!


Food vendors and a corn maze will also feature at this year's fall festival, with the pumpkin promenade costing $12 a ticket - $15 on weekends - with the wagon experience costing $20.20 a head. Children under 2 can enter for free.


Dogs are welcome on-leash, with the walk-out ticket only. They must be on leash at all times and owners are asked to please bring dog waste bags.
