Enjoy a socially-distanced, COVID-conscious day out in Kits with your pup this Sunday, including coffee, pastries and doggy ice cream.
The Vancouver dog community is a close-knit group, and we’ve all been missing each other over the last few months.
So, PawSwap has introduced Sunday Strolls - a safe way to reunite with fellow dog owners, enjoy some of Vancouver's finest coffee, and treat our pups at the same time.
This entirely outdoor, physically-distanced activity, in Partnership with Prado Cafe, is taking place this Sunday, July 5, and promises great coffee, pastries and doggy ice cream.
Beginning at Prado Cafe, this activity will start off with a fresh cup of drip coffee and individually wrapped pastry, followed by a 20 minute dog-walk on Kits Beach, where Sweet Spot Ice Cream Parlour will be waiting to hand out their dog ice cream (yes, ice-cream for dogs!).
Then you can grab your swag bag full of treats, put together with love by the PawSwap team, all included in the $25 ticket price.
As BC has entered Phase 3 of its Restart Plan, locals are feeling more comfortable with venturing outdoors and PawSwap has ensured that their newest activity is something the dog community is ready for.
"We've asked our local dog community what they would be comfortable with and they expressed how much they were ready, and excited, to reunite outdoors," explains Carly Geill, Marketing Manager of PawSwap.
"So, we listened and came up with this safe outdoor activity; something for us to do together in a small group, while keeping socially distanced."
Hand sanitizer and tape markers to ensure distancing in line-ups will be present on the day, all coffee will be in individual cups, and food will be individually wrapped by the Prado team in advance for attendees. As well as this, the group will be kept below 25 people.

As this is a small group activity, tickets are limited and are expected to sell out fast.
