It's only October but parts of Metro Vancouver have already seen the first snow of the season this weekend.
On Thursday, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement warning of a modified Arctic airmass that could bring snow to higher terrain over the weekend.
By Saturday morning, the North Shore mountains were blanketed in snow and many Vancouver dog owners made the most of it by getting outdoors with their pups and enjoying some local dog-friendly hikes.

While the extra cold temperature wasn't very enjoyable for most, the early snowfall made for some very cute pictures, including a few by doting new dog parents who captured their pup's first time experiencing snow.
